The Healthy Opportunities Pilot, or HOP program, is a healthy food access program funded in Western NC by Impact Health. With HOP, Medicaid members with chronic illnesses can qualify to receive healthy food each week from the High Country Food Hub, at no cost to them.
Are you enrolled in Medicaid? You could qualify for a Healthy Food Box. This is currently only available to Medicaid members in Avery, Yancey, and Mitchell counties. If you think you may qualify for HOP, please call (828) 278-9900 or visit impacthealth.org/HOP to find out more. Blue Ridge Women in Agriculture is one of more than 50 Human Service Organizations (HSO) participating in the Healthy Opportunities Pilot (HOP) in Western North Carolina. HOP is the nation’s first comprehensive program to use Medicaid funding to support nonmedical health-related needs for Medicaid members who could benefit the most. |
